Absolutely lovely home style food. Love the fresh preparation of everything, the time and care taken to provide quality food. I’m from East Coast where we have so many South Indian options and I was really wanting to have a nice, authentic food in OKC. So glad to have found this place where the food is served directly from the fresh ingredients.

It is freshly prepared and tasty. Women owned and operated restaurant. I ordered Veg Thali and it is good. I recommend this place.

My wife is from India and we've tried South Asian food all over the world, here in the US and abroad. Hands down, this is one of the best South Indian food we've had and rivals home made food. The dosa was extra crispy and flavorful, the chutneys were on point, and we appreciated that you can taste the freshness in the foods. The owner and chef, Uma, is very friendly and you can tell the passion she has for her restaurant and her cooking. We took a friend here to try it and he agreed that you can really taste the difference here when compared to other Indian restaurants. Folks in Oklahoma City have a hidden gem in their backyard, I'd really recommend checking this place out. When we're back in OKC, we'll revisit this place for sure.

Such a lovely Southern Indian restaurant. Everything is authentically made and tastes flavorful. The goat curry was great and a perfect level of spice. We also tried the chapati and korma which was excellent. The chapati was thin and tasty. I loved my cardamom chai Bobba lovely mixture of flavors. The only con is the portion sizes and prices. The portions are a bit small and the it is a bit pricey for the size. All of the waiters were very nice and helpful with everything. I loved the atmosphere as well it had a fancy feel high is perfect for an evening meal.

Worth the wait!!! We were a group of 8 adult went there late afternoon for lunch... the veg thali we ordered was prepared then from scratch... the food was so authentic. It is a women owned restaurant and service was awesome.

This is by far the best Indian restaurant in OKC. The food is made completely fresh. The service is wonderful. And the owner is a delight. Every food actually tastes authentic and reminds me of home cooked Indian food. Not the traditional buffet style of food that's bland. It's really good!

Chennai Cafe is an absolute gem! The egg dosa was crisp, the vada perfectly crunchy, and the sambar idly soft and fresh. The three chutneys were a flavor explosion, each one more amazing than the last. The sambar was rich and flavorful, taking me back to the best meals in India. And the filter coffee? It was like a nostalgic trip, just perfect. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic and delicious South Indian food! Thanks kavya for serving us

My first time experience: I had a long day and had a craving for a filter coffee. I stepped in and first thing I get is a lovely smile and great customer experience. They made me feel like I was home. Good to see all women staff that are passionate and caring for a customer. Go girls . The coffee tasted like made in Chennai ! I wish they had a tip jar or something, made me step out with guilt. Definitely trying their breakfast combo next time. Thanks again, Nithish
